About this Event

Police Recruitment Evening | Thursday 24th October, 7pm - 9pm

There are few careers that offer the variety of a police constable and we are giving you a chance to meet some of them to find out more.

Police officers play a vital role in keeping our communities safe, whether they’re on the streets, working face to face with the general public, or behind the scenes.

In a series of evenings, we’re giving you a chance to come along and speak with officers about what it really involves to become a police officer.

Three of our very own officers from 'Channel 4's 999 What’s Your Emergency' will offer potential applicants a unique insight into the realities of life as a front line police officer. This is a great opportunity to see if life as a police constable is the right role for you.

A light-hearted and informal presentation is followed by a Q&A session, open to those considering a career with us.

From the initial recruitment steps and training processes, through to shift patterns, career development, the equipment we carry and how it feels to be first on scene at a life threatening incident.
