Event description
Join us in Bridlington for a week of outdoor performances celebrating what it means to be a Northern Girl in 2021.

About this event

Following the success of Northern Girls 2020, we’re travelling to three new locations this autumn for a series of captivating outdoor performances in York, Bridlington, and Redcar.

Bridlington Performances:

Wednesday 13th October 7pm

Thursday 14th October 7pm

Friday 15th October 7pm

Saturday 16th October 7pm

We’ve brought together an incredible team of professional and community writers to develop monologues that explore what it means to be a Northern Girl in 2021. This ambitious project spans three communities bringing together debut writers, professional writers and directors as well as schools and community venues.

In Bridlington we will be performing outdoors in a secret location to be announced. The performance is unique to this Bridlington location and has been developed, written, and performed by women and girls with direct connections to the city.

Each short piece will represent the joys, frustrations, and complexities of northern female identity in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Northern Girls Bridlington is a Pilot Theatre co-production with ARCADE and is supported by Arts Council England, Creative Europe and the National Lottery Community Fund.

The performances in each location are unique and different. To book for York and Redcar follow the below links:

York 6th - 9th October

Redcar 20th - 23rd October

There is a BSL performance on Thursday 14th October.

The venue is wheelchair accessible.
