York St John University, in partnership with Make It York and EDIT Development, invites you to the first Northern Hive event of 2017 at York St John University on 7 February. Northern Hive is a leading networking and professional community committed to promoting social inclusion and shaping the region’s business community to celebrate and support Northern talent.
We are delighted to be hosting the 7th February event at the University and welcome you to join in an evening of discussion, debate and connectivity. We have Karen Stanton Vice Chancellor or York St John University opening the event, with a great panel of speakers including Stuart Page - York St John Pro Dean Development, Kathryn Blacker - Chapter Steward of York Minster, Laurence Beckett - People Business Partner from Aviva, Andrew Sharp - Head of Business for Make it York and Natalie Keating - Group Managing Director at Inspire 2 Independence.
The event will be hosted by Sonia Bate Managing Director of EDIT Development and we will be talking about what diverse leading employers are doing in the space of employability and how HE can bridge the gap of employability between academia and the future of work. As we go into another year of challenging economic and political times, building the next generation of employees with the skills and behaviours to support business growth in the region is essential.
The evening will provide an opportunity to connect with a range of business, community and education leaders in York over a drink and canapes.
