Challenge yourself this year to support local families living with cancer!
#RunFor Cancer Fund for Children
Running is fantastic way to challenge yourself both physically and mentally and signing up to compete in a run is a great way to set yourself a personal goal! Across Northern Ireland, marathons, half marathons and 10K runs are taking place throughout the year, open to anyone who wants to push their personal limits.
Taking part in a local race is a fantastic opportunity to raise some much needed funds to help local families living with cancer. Every week in Northern Ireland another three families will be told that their child has cancer, and will begin the traumatic and stressful journey of treatment plans and hospital stays, whilst not knowing what the future holds. Cancer Fund for Children understands the devastating impact a cancer diagnosis has on the whole family and that beyond the essential medical care there is a family life that needs to be rebuilt. This is why Cancer Fund for Children exists - to provide practical, emotional and financial support when it is most needed. It is our ambition that no family should face cancer alone, and with your support, we hope to make this happen.
We will be here to help you every step of the way with your fundraising - once you sign up to the run, get in touch and let us know! (Please ensure you have signed up with your chosen marathon through their official site - they will provide you with your race number for on the day of the event. Providing your details to Cancer Fund for Children is only to register your intent to fundraise for us and to request your free fundraising pack). We will send you out a Fundraising Pack with helpful ideas and information about fundraising, a pair of our jazzy yellow laces, guidelines on how to set up a JustGiving page, sponsorship forms and other fundraising materials that you might need.
