Event description

Description

On Saturday 15th June, self-help groups for stammerers in the North of England will meet up to launch the Northern Stammerhouse.

The aim is to pool our resources, ideas, energies and enthusiasm to make a collective effort to help and support people who stammer in the region.

This event is open to all, whether you stammer, know someone who does, or simply have an active interest in stammering, then please join us at this event.

The day will consist of key-note talks from Alex Staniforth, and Jane Powell, plus a wide variety of interactive workshops.

Alex is an inspirational keynote, international and TEDx speaker, challenging fear of failure and empowering audiences to change their mindsets towards adversity. Alex, 23 years of age from Cheshire, also stammers.

Jane Powell, CEO of the British Stammering Association, will open the day with an update on the new stamma campaign.

We’re really excited about this event and it’s gearing up to be really different and special. If you plan on attending this event, please ensure you register above. We are anticipating high attendance and may have to cap the number of attendees.
