Whether you’re already a member or just curious about cohousing, this is your chance to find out more about the Northstowe project and meet others who are interested too.
TOWN and Hill Group will be submitting a planning application later this year. We will be ready to share the latest designs, home layouts, pricing, and construction timeline.
What to expect on the day
Optional Marmalade Lane Tour – 9.30am
If you’ve never visited a cohousing community before, you’re welcome to join a tour of Marmalade Lane in Cambridge that morning. It’s a great way to see what cohousing looks and feels like in practice.

Main event – from 10.30am at the Tap Room
Join us upstairs at Northstowe Social and Tap Room from 10.30am for tea, coffee and cake. We’ll have exhibition boards from July’s public engagement event on display, and plenty of time to chat informally before we start.
The venue has limited parking, but it’s just a short walk from Northstowe Park & Ride, which is served by the guided bus from Cambridge North Train Station.
11.00am – Presentations and Q&A
We’ll kick off in the upstairs event space with a welcome and project overview. The TOWN team will talk through where we are, what’s next, and answer your questions.
12.30pm – Site visit or social time
After the session, you can either join us for a walk over to the site, or stay at the Tap Room.
1.00pm – Lunch and social
We’ll provide a catered lunch with time to meet each other and talk more informally. When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements by email.
2.00–4.00pm – (Optional) Forming the cohousing group
The afternoon is optional and intended for members and those seriously considering joining. We’ll talk through the practical next steps for forming the group, including roles, decision-making and timelines.
