About this event

Norwich Amateur Brewers are delighted to welcome you to the Coachmakers Arms for our 2022 Beer Festival. There’s loads to get involved with - special events, guided tasting sessions, educational talks and exciting special guest appearances… not to mention the opportunity to sample over 24 different beers crafted for you by members of our club. Get involved and have fun!

Check out the activities you can explore to immerse yourselves in an afternoon of all-things beer:

  • Tutored beer tasting with trained professionals, to help educate your palate
  • Triangle Taste Test: a blind tasting of Wildcraft Brewery’s Wild Norfolk IPA against one brewed to the same recipe by a Norwich Amateur Brewer… which will be your favourite?!
  • A presentation and tasting with our special guests from Adnams brewery about their exciting new brew made in collaboration with legendary American craft beer pioneers Sierra Nevada
  • Meet and chat with brewers and club members to learn why they love making top-class beer at home
  • There’s snack food available at times throughout the day. We cannot live on beer alone!

This event is kindly sponsored by local Norfolk brewery Wildcraft. As well as supporting us to host this festival, they’ve collaborated with Norwich Amateur Brewers to create a very special beer to raise money for our chosen charity, the Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals Charity. This pale ale, ‘Wild Rainbow’ is truly unique. It’s made completely with English ingredients, including some very generous donations like new hop strains from Charles Faram British Hop growers and malt from local maltster Crisps near Bungay, south Norfolk.

So, thank you for coming and helping us to raise money for our NHS heroes. The Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity do fantastic work to support the NHS staff still fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. You can check out the great work they do at nnuh.org.uk.

Lastly, don’t forget to vote for your favourite beer of the festival by using the voting form in this programme and posting it in the ballot box before you leave. Enjoy!
