Event description

Description

This is a unique opportunity to experience the Academy at our Inaugural Norwich Leaders Forum at the Assembly Rooms, Assembly House, Theatre St, Norwich NR2 1RQ on the 18th October 2017, with renowned speaker and Professor Mike Ferguson talking on “The Psychology of Success” while also engaging and meeting with other leaders like you.

David Brient Chairman of East Anglia would like to invite you to organise an initial 15 minute telephone call with him to explore more, with a view to you attending (at no cost) if there’s a potential fit both ways.

Please contact David's PA, Helene, (see booking information for more details) to arrange a convenient date and time to talk.

More about the meeting:

The objective of the meeting is to give you an insight into how membership works and the benefits it brings to you and your business. You’d get a taste of what life is like being an Academy MEMBER.

Our morning session begins with expert speaker Mike Ferguson talking on “The Psychology of Success”.

Overview:

Based upon recent developments in cognitive psychology, this session is nevertheless as practical as DIY. Mike demonstrates how our minds actually function and explains in plain language how we can program those parts of our 'human software' to which we usually have no conscious access. We will see that we already have the essential tools necessary for success at our disposal - and we will see that once we change the way we think, we change the way we act. Some of the specific questions this session will address are: What is 'success', and how does it relate to happiness? Does it matter if we achieve it? What are the two essential requirements for success to materialise? How do we operate in our heads in relation to success and achievement? What practical steps do we need to take to get what we want or to where we want to be? What role does 'luck' play? Are there really no limits on what we can personally achieve? "What we learned, above all else, is that successful people have certain styles and patterns of thinking which anyone can learn to emulate. It's more about how we need to think than what we need to think – and unfortunately most of us we're just not taught how to think. It is just somehow assumed that what we do is the best and only way. Unless you are very fortunate – it isn't!"

David will then explain how the Norwich Leaders Forum will run and what you can expect.

Please join us for lunch at 12h30. This will give you the opportunity to mingle with other leaders like you.
