Not Just a Coal Railway; Re-evaluating the S&DR...

2025 is the Bicentennial of the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway, a pivotal moment in the development of today's international railway systems. To celebrate this important anniversary, the 8th International Early Railways Conference is being held in the historic city of Darlington, County Durham. A limited number of tickets to the opening lecture of the Conference, ‘Not Just a Coal Railway; Re-evaluating the S&DR, its ambition, achievements and influence’ is being made avaialble to interested members of the public.
