Event description

Description

In this ResearchWorks session, presented in collaboration with the Cambridge Centre for Musical Performance Studies and the Institute of Musical Research, Professor Neil Heyde (Royal Academy of Music) explores some of the ways in which an instrument-led perspective can shed special light on musical practice, drawing case-study examples from recent music that invokes the past.

What Is ResearchWorks?
The Guildhall School’s ResearchWorks is a dynamic programme of events centred around the School’s key research strands, bringing together staff, students and guests of international standing. We run regular events throughout the term intended to share the innovative research findings of the school and its guests with students, staff and the public.
