Not9to5: Draw, Create and Reflect
Thu 4 May 2017, 18:00 – 20:30 BST
Draw, Create and Reflect
Our second workshop of the year is all about creativity! Facilitated by the wonderful Jenny Leonard who is a freelance commission artist and creative workshop leader. She currently works in London on public art projects and delivers drawing and painting workshops for schools and businesses. She is a community driven artist always pursuing collaborative art projects that bring people together.
Her work has been commissioned by British Airways, Hampton Court Palace, Transport For London and Westminster City Council. She currently exhibits painted sculptures on public art trails across the UK with Wild in Art and her work has raised over £100,000 for partnering charities. One of her pieces is currently located outside Westminster council office in London. Jenny has also written the visual art curriculum for the UK’s largest youth and community charity The Challenge; which was delivered across the UK to young people taking part in the National Citizen Service.
“Jenny was a 100% suitable match for our major Museum of Happiness event. She has a natural gift for kindly and enthusiastically engaging people in art. Through her gifts of creativity and love of working with others, she created a wonderfully uplifting atmosphere. We were looking for workshop leaders that could take charge of the situation and manage a group of people with confidence and compassion – she did both superbly well. I’d highly recommend Jenny to any organisation that’s seeking a unique and powerful way towards team building, enhancing communication, releasing creativity and trying something new.” Shamash Alidina (Co-founder Museum of Happiness)
