Your Story

Not all stories begin with once upon a time...

Our own stories are just as important as the archetypal, your story is the most important part of your brand, who you are and why you do what you do. Whether you run a social enterprise, small charity or freelance, it is your story that others will resonate with, connect with and want to work with. This workshop will enable you to construct and tell your story, to share your WHY with potential clients, networks and colleagues.

This workshop will focus on the value of storytelling in crafting a personal brand, an integral tool for anyone wishing to bring their authentic self to their work and effectively articulate this to those they meet. You will learn about storytelling frameworks, tools and effective communication. Furthermore, space will be given for you to dive deeper into your own story and skills, while learning how to best package this.

The workshop will be facilitated by Lily Asch the founder of Real Talk, a social enterprise dedicated to mental health storytelling and wellbeing. Lily is a mental health advocate, storyteller and social entrepreneur. She has previously worked with FreshSight and TEDxUniversityofEdinburgh. Real Talk supports individuals in connecting to their narrative around experiences of mental ill health and crafts safe spaces for these stories to be shared to an audience, fostering conversation and connection.
