Event description

Description

Free CPD-approved anti-bullying workshop for schools participating in the All Together programme.

This anti-bullying workshop is part of the All Together programme, which the Anti-Bullying Alliance is delivering in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottinghamshire City Council. Schools who are not already signed up to the All Together programme can do so via www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/alltogether.

The workshop is for up to two attendees from any school in Nottinghamshire including maintained schools, academies, special schools, PRUs and free schools. It is open to primary and secondary schools. There is an expectation from Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottinghamshire City Council that those attending the course will implement their All Together Action Plans using the online platform linked above.

One of the attendees must be a member of your school Senior Leadership Team e.g. Head Teacher, Deputy Heads, SENCo, Anti-Bullying Lead etc. This is so that we have staff who are able to implement whole school change via the programme.

This workshop will cover:

Bullying and its impact on children and young people

Preventing bullying

Bullying and the law

Reporting and recording bullying

The social model and bullying

Models of response and resolution

Principles of prevention and response

Using the All Together Action Plan

The All Together programme has been developed over the last three years and builds upon the work of the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s previous SEND anti-bullying champion programme which saw significant positive results. The programme therefore includes a special focus on reducing bullying of disabled children and those with SEN but aims to reduce bullying of all children and young people using a social model approach.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day. Please contact ABA@ncb.org.uk if you have any dietary requirements, e.g. vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy-free.

There will be a £50 'no show' fee for schools that do not inform us they cannot attend at least one week before the training date.

Registration and coffee for this event will open at 9am. The workshop will begin promptly at 9.30am.
