The Nottingham Food & Drink Festival set in the spectacular Wollaton Park in Nottingham promises to be an event not to be missed for specialist food and drink enthusiasts.
The Festival’s ‘Super Theatre’ plans to give a series of entertaining and instructive live cookery demonstrations throughout the weekend, with a superb line up of celebrity chefs, who will bring an intriguing selection of international food backgrounds and influences to the show.
On Saturday we have for the first time Sean Wilson, a popular celebrity chef and cheese maker, who is also well known for his time on Coronation Street. Sunday sees the return of Jean Christophe Novelli , everyone’s favourite fun loving chef. They are supported by Mark Lloyd – foraging expert, Eva Humphries – nutritionist, local chef Liam Woodward who is currently working at Eatons Bar & Brasserie and Johnny Pusztai – the Snobby Butcher from Nottingham.
We have some very good, less well-known chefs, so its perhaps a good idea to present a small bio for them.
Eva Humphries is a nutritionist known as the Wholefood Warrior, she will be talking and cooking with whole, natural foods with reference to the Ketogenic diet. The Ketogenic diet is a lifestyle change that gives considerable health benefits, it’s well worth a look at.
Mark Lloyd will be familiar to a lot of previous visitors, he’s been our presenter introducing chefs at our festivals for the last six years. This year he gets his turn up front with his own recipes that that feature a lot of wild foods foraged from the English Countryside.
Liam Woodward specialises in classic British seasonal menus with a strong Italian influence.
Moving around the Festival we come to the Piazza, that fabulous area where you come to eat and relax and listen to live music on our music stage before taking in the rest of the event. Food Halls, Real Ales, Wine Tasting, The Bushtucker Trials, Crafts Corner, Children’s Entertainment and workshops.
The Festival brings to Nottingham a touch of summertime, al fresco dining, Masterchefs, artisan food and drink, music, fun and hopefully laughter. So come along to enjoy yourselves, eat drink and be merry.
