Description

For an end of half term treat we are off to the Broadway Cinema to see the new Nick Park film 'Early Man'!

Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of Dug, along with sidekick Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth and his Bronze Age City to save their home.

We will gather outside of the Broadway Cinema in the centre of Nottingham, on the raised seating area at 11.45am sharp so that everyone can go to the toilet, pay their session fee and get settled.

The film starts at 12.15pm and lasts for 1hr40m. We shall then gather in one of the Broadway's seating areas (exact location TBC) for a 30m discussion about the film, its characters and how archaeological evidence inspired the clothing, tools, houses, food etc.

The price of the film (for both parent helpers and YAC members) will be subsidised by Nottingham YAC so the normal £3 session charge applies (this means that adults if they wish to stay and watch the film will also be £3). The tickets have to be pre-paid so please come as usual with your session fee. It is essential that if you book a ticket you try as best as you can to attend as your seat will have been paid for, and our club finances aren't limitless!

We have provisionally reserved a total of 30 seats, but final numbers have to be confirmed and paid for by 10 working days before the showing of the film. It is essential that you book tickets ASAP as this booking page will close at midnight on Sunday 11 February.

If you wish your child to be given a small tub of popcorn for them to enjoy during the film, please make sure you select the POPCORN ticket so enough can be pre-ordered and allocated.

As normal, when booking tickets it is essential to use the child's name instead of your own, and in the case of siblings, to request one place per named child, rather than the total number of spaces per family. If you wish to attend as an adult parent helper please complete the booking in your name so we know to expect you.
