Our next online meeting for our youth panel (16-25) for Nottingham Youth Climate Assembly 2022. Have a say on key questions for the Assembly
About this event
Nottingham Climate Assembly are hosting a Youth Climate Assembly on 9th and 10th July 2022 and we need your help to make it happen. The project is funded by the National Lottery Climate Action Fund and brings together many partners looking to tackle climate change around the city. We want the whole project to be youth centred and our youth panel helps make important decisions about the assembly. If you are 16-25 and from Nottingham (city and surrounding areas), you can be a part of the panel at any point during the run-up to the assembly and in the post-assembly build up to COP27. Our youth panel meets take place monthly online, hosted by Nottingham Climate Assembly, Green Meadows and the Pythian Club.
Any young people 16-25 in Nottingham and surrounding areas who are keen to get involved are welcome to join this event.
At our June 9th meeting, we will:
- feedback on participant and volunteer outreach events and stalls for the Assembly weekend on 9th and 10th July
- identify key questions to be addressed in the topic sessions and what we want to ensure decisions from the assembly are promoted and supported by decision-makers like Council and Business leaders after the Assembly weekend
- agree roles for further promoting the assembly and post-assembly events
To find out what our assembly might look like, watch the video about the Regional Youth Climate Assembly in Yorkshire and the Humber from 2021 at https://www.ryca.uk/.
The meet will be hosted via Teams and you will receive details to join the day before the session so please sign up ahead of the event.
