CAREER FOR YOU

Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA)

Nottinghamshire Police was one of the first police services to introduce the Police Constable Degree Apprentices (PCDA) and we are very proud to be offering this opportunity again for 2020. The PCDA is a national programme and the curriculum has been set by the College of Policing.

We Need You

We are looking for talented individuals that have a passion for public service and have excellent customer service skills. Where you will be working as part of a team to make a difference to the lives of the community, where each day your actions and decisions will help to ensure that Nottinghamshire is a safe place to live and work.

Therefore we encourage individuals from our local diverse communities who are mature, highly motivated team players, with a good moral compass to apply for this opportunity.

Earn Whist you learn

The PCDA programme offers amazing career opportunities, where you are a Police Officer from day one, whilst also attaining a degree. You will have a mixture of operational and academic training. The Core Policing training will be delivered by our Police Trainers and the University of Derby will cover subjects such as the history of policing and evidence based policing.

This opportunity is open to anyone over the age of 18. All Police Constable Degree Apprentices will be paid an apprentices salary of £18,450.00k per annum. The programme also offers an increase in salary based on increments up until completion of the degree.

This is an amazing opportunity where you study towards your degree in policing with ‘no tuition fees’ therefore this is truly an ‘earn while you learn’.
