Imagine a retreat day designed exclusively for female leaders, a sanctuary where they can embark on a transformative journey towards a new paradigm of leadership.

Nourished Leadership

This unique experience introduces our Nourished Leadership Model that goes beyond traditional approaches, embracing a holistic perspective.

The retreat aims to empower and rejuvenate these leaders by fostering a leadership style that not only supports but cultivates sustainability, effectiveness, and happiness. The focus is on guiding these senior leaders to find their flow, creating an environment where they can lead with internal authenticity. By incorporating elements of mindfulness, internal reflection, inner knowing and scientific fact, this retreat is designed to empower leading ladies to stand in their power, be resilient, impactful, and fulfilled in both their professional and personal lives.

The result is a community of leaders who not only excel in their roles but also inspire positive change in their organisations and beyond!

Guiding the retreat with wisdom and expertise are Gemma Wardell and Felicity King, two remarkable facilitators whose diverse backgrounds complement the holistic leadership model.

Meet Gemma & Felicity

Gemma brings a wealth of knowledge from her psychology background, emphasising the importance of understanding the intricacies of human behaviour and emotions in leadership.

Gemma has had a career with people at the core! She is passionate about people and believes that all humans have untapped potential and the ability to grow, change, develop and become the absolute best version of themselves. Gemma has worked in the field of mental health and wellbeing for many years and is a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Trainer and Coach. Gemma has been involved in many community projects and has created, set up and led services locally. Gemma’s previous role was as a company Director within a CIC, she is now the Founder and Chief Unleasher at Human Brilliance!

Gemma has a talent for organisational psychology and creates bespoke training and coaching packages for many organisations. She is an energetic and engaging trainer and facilitator and loves nothing more than combining her knowledge and skills across Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Coaching and Training to unleash Human Brilliance in individuals, and in teams!

Felicity, with her background in education, brings a unique perspective on learning and personal development. She leads the L&D department at Edwards & Pearce, working with clients all over the UK, Felicity helps people understand each other better through innovative feedback and a clear knowledge of how the human experience is created.

Felicity is a human behaviour specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the field of personal development and leadership. She has held senior leadership positions in both the public and private sectors before forming her own company in 2010. She holds post graduate qualifications in leadership, coaching, emotional intelligence, performance psychology and several different approaches to mindset and resilience.

In 2018, Felicity was awarded a fellowship with the Chartered College of Teaching for her contribution to the development of sustainable leadership and the prevention of burnout.

A passionate learner, Felicity is committed to her own development. As a professional coach she leads coaching circles and supervision as part of her own CPD. Every year she chooses a theme for her research to support her clients. This year she is studying the impact of seasonal change on the brain and performance which is proving to be a fascinating way to use natural cycles to empower, engage and sustain.

A Yorkshire girl through and through, at the weekends you’ll find Felicity enjoying the great outdoors with her husband and young sons and loves nothing more than a kitchen full of friends and a roast in the oven.

A Passion for Personal Growth and Fulfilment

Both facilitators share a common thread in their commitment to personal and professional growth, dedicating numerous years to the enrichment of themselves and others. Their journey has not been without challenges, as they've faced significant mental and physical health obstacles. However, by embracing and embodying the Nourished Leadership approach, they discovered a path back to themselves. Today, Gemma and Felicity successfully run their businesses, demonstrating that a balanced and nourished leadership style can lead to both professional success and a joyful, healthy life. Their personal stories serve as inspiration for female leaders attending the retreat, encouraging them to embrace their own journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Retreat Schedule

You will arrive at 9am to refreshments and a light breakfast in The Garden Room. Then follows a series of bespoke retreat sessions to truly nourish mind, body and soul.

We will be a small group (12 max) so there is time and space to embrace your true needs and essence as a capable, powerful woman. Nourished Leadership isn’t about tools and strategies but rather finding your flow and leading from a place of courage and authenticity.

“Nourished Leaders recognise their needs and keep them topped up at all times”.

Part One

Exploring The Nourished Leadership Model and what it can mean for you. Gemma and Felicity will take you through the components of Nourished Leadership, inviting you to see your leadership behaviours through a different lens so that you can make a long-term shift from surviving to thriving.

Part Two

Being in your flow state is a key skill of a Nourished Leader and in this section, we will use breathwork and guided visualisation techniques to develop a clear understanding of this psychological position and how it can be used to enter periods of deep focus without the distractions of self-talk and the barriers to performance and satisfaction that it often brings.

Refreshments

Part Three

Recognising Nourished Leading Ladies and how they choose to behave in a variety of situations. This is a hands-on activity when our guests will work in small groups to unpick the behaviours they admire and aspire to in famous women in leadership. We will be using our unique Packtypes Feedback Tool which is a great way to get everyone talking about the way they would like to develop their own behaviours to achieve their ambitions and sustain themselves in the process.

Part Four

As we delve deeper into the concept of flow and explore the barriers that may hinder our ability to achieve it. In this session, we will investigate how our personal leadership narrative influences our capacity to enter into a state of flow. Through the power of storytelling, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering the stories we tell ourselves and how they shape our perceptions, behaviours, and communication patterns. By gaining insight into our internal narratives, we can enhance self-awareness, improve both internal and external communication, and develop a deeper understanding of our internal world.

Delicious healthy lunch.

Part Five

Mindful Steps. Walking is long recognised for helping us find calm, increase our focus and providing mental space for purpose and perspective. We will teach you how to use your breathing to reset and focus your mind to calm the distractions of your subconscious and re-gain your full bandwidth. With the help of fresh air and the beautiful Tickton Grange Estate, you will learn how to use a combination of breath, steps and stillness to get into flow and answer questions or problems with your highest level of creativity and innovation. This is a wonderful way to create new pathways in your brain and as a result, be able to tap into new ideas and thinking, when you need it most.

Part Six

Creating your Personalised Nourished Leadership Recipe so you can stand in your own power.

Cocktails before departing around 6pm.

Personal Coaching Session

To follow up on the intentions you set at the end of our day together, we will arrange a 60-minute coaching session to be taken later in the summer. These sessions will be held over video call with either Gemma or Felicity and serve to strengthen and support your commitments to a Nourished and indeed flourishing leadership life.

Gifts & Treats

In addition, guests will take home a beautiful bag of luxurious self-care goodies, nutrition tips and resources to embed and extend the Nourished Leadership understanding.
