The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) will be hosting an event at the Defence BattleLab in Dorset, to give innovators the chance to network with others in their community and help shape a future DASA competition, Novel Amphibious Craft.

There will also be an opportunity to meet with experts from across DSTL, DE&S and the Royal Marines Commando Force.

This themed competition, launching later in October 2022, will fund promising technologies that will help to develop a novel amphibious craft fit for the threats of the 21st Century.

This event is targeted at those interested in networking and/or establishing collaboration opportunities before submitting a proposal in to the competition. Further information about the competition can be found on the DASA website.

The event will include roundtable discussions based on three topic areas:

How to reduce the signature across multiple spectrums (thermal, radar, visual, acoustic etc.)
How to deliver troops and vehicles across a water gap to minimise the requirement for wading
How to routinely land and retract from an unprepared coastal access point

Due to the nature of the sessions, the capacity to join virtually and in person will be restricted. As such, DASA reserve the right to restrict tickets to two per organisation to enable a broader cross section of the community to attend.
