IAS Visiting Fellow Dr Alejandro Salado delivers a seminar on their research -

Digital engineering is more than a transition from paper to pixels. It reshapes how we conceive and execute engineering itself. This talk presents novel workflows enabled by a digital ecosystem, highlighting opportunities that extend beyond digitizing documents or digitalizing processes. As an example, by leveraging model-based integration and connected data, digital engineering allows us to reimagine Integration, Test, and Evaluation planning and execution, creating more adaptive and efficient approaches. The talk also explores a new interpretation of “consistency” across heterogeneous models and diverse data sources, proposing a view that emphasizes coherence of intent and traceability over rigid uniformity. Together, these perspectives demonstrate how digital engineering transforms practice, enabling workflows that were previously infeasible and unlocking the potential of a truly integrated engineering enterprise.

Arrivals from 11:45 am for a 12:00 noon start. For those joining in-person, lunch will be served after the seminar from 1:00pm.

International House can be found here on the campus map.

If these in person tickets have sold out, you can still register for the Zoom Webinar.
