Description
Leaders of fundraising operations often ask me to introduce them to their counterparts elsewhere.
However talented you are as a fundraiser, leading the function brings a set of problems which can be stressful and daunting when you face them alone.
What’s the solution?
The truth is, building a network and sharing challenges with people in the same boat is incredibly helpful, especially if you are a leader. So if you are a fundraising director, come and network with your peers and learn tried and tested strategies.
'I found the Breakfast Club incredibly helpful - both in terms of meeting people and sharing useful ideas. It was also uplifting and a great reminder of sound fundraising principles, as Rob's blogs and talks always are. I'd definitely recommend it.'
Alison Woolley, Head of Development, SOAS
The next Breakfast Club is on 16th November, 8.30am – 11am, and will include the following:
- Leadership in Fundraising – sweating the small stuff. Five simple things we have learned to do that help ensure we have the best people and that those people feel valued and able to do their very best. With Liz Tait, Director of Fundraising and Paul McKenzie, Head of Major Giving and Partnerships, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home
- Leadership techniques that create a can-do, ‘shared consciousness’ culture. This session was inspired by what we have found for the Commission on the Donor Experience, seeking answers to the question ‘what can you do as a leader to increase the chances of everyone working in a donor-focussed way?’. In it I reveal how other leaders have created a ‘shared consciousness’ environment in which everyone feels empowered, and how you could apply these strategies. With award-winning trainer, Rob Woods, Director, Bright Spot Fundraising
- An unrivalled networking opportunity and solidarity. The chance to quickly build your network at a senior level.
“The Breakfast Club is a brilliant idea – it was incredibly useful to meet other Heads and Directors of Fundraising, to share ideas and to grow my professional network."
Jennifer Coleman, Director of Development, Institute of Imagination
