Free online event for Teachers and Educators

Join our Teacher Twilight event featuring guest speakers to introduce the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2020. We will explore this year's selection of portraits and discuss ways to engage students with contemporary photographic portrait practice.

Guest speakers include Sabina Jaskot-Gill, Photography Curator at the National Portrait Gallery and Jermaine Francis, exhibiting artist in the exhibition.

We will share a new photographic portrait resource based around selected portraits in the exhibition for Schools and Families.

Open to teachers and educators (primary schools, secondary schools and colleges, special schools, alternative provision) working across key stages and abilities.

Our range of professional development programmes introduce the National Portrait Gallery as an educational resource, supporting teachers to interpret portraiture and develop ideas for classroom work. Our CPD programme is currently taking place online.

The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2020 is the leading international competition, open to all, which celebrates and promotes the very best in contemporary portrait photography from around the world.
