Assessment

This course leads to a City & Guilds Level 2 Award 0020-03 via a competency assessment. Competency will be assessed by the NTPC after you have completed the training course, not on the day of the course. Your assessment will be booked through the NPTC to be carried out at a convenient time and location. You will be assessed by using a combination of practical assessment and theory-based questioning.

Please submit a clear, passport-style photo to NPTC@ccn.ac.uk in advance of your course for your ID card registration. Failure to do this will incur a charge if additional certificates or ID cards need to be issued.

If you have any queries about the assessment please contact the NPTC on 01603 731250 or email NPTC@ccn.ac.uk. Successful candidates will be awarded their certificate directly from the NPTC.

NPTC - Disabilities and Access Arrangements

Please inform us immediately, if you have not already done so, of any disabilities that may disadvantage you in successful completion of your assessment; for example if you have dyslexia or English is not your first language, or any mild disability which may require you to have some assistance. Under guidance from C&G we are able to make access arrangements for some learners to demonstrate their competence under assessment, without changing the demands of that assessment. Examples of access arrangements include: readers, scribes, extra time, or modified assessment material. However, as Certificates of Competence are vocational qualifications, candidates must achieve all the required units to gain a full qualification, and the awarding body will not make adjustments to the required competence standards.

If you would like to discuss this further or make access arrangements for your assessment, then please contact NPTC directly on 01603 731250 or email NPTC@ccn.ac.uk.
