NQT WORKSHOPS: A JOURNEY TO BECOMING GREAT
For Teachers, Designed by Teachers, Led by Teachers
This year the Bradford Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance will be working in partnership with Bradford Council to meet the professional development needs of NQTs and new to profession colleagues. The offer is led by Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) and headteachers who promote outstanding outcomes for the city’s children and wish to contribute fully to the career development of professionals across the district.
The programme offers a series of six workshops tailored to meet the needs of NQTs across Bradford. All schools and professionals aspire to offer the highest possible standards. The focus of the workshops will be pedagogy based upon the work of leading educational thinkers such as John Hattie and Shirley Clarke. The workshops will look at the key drivers of assessment, achievement and attainment in order to secure the best possible outcomes for children. Using the framework for professional standards for teachers, sessions will build in opportunities for reflection, self-evaluation and planning next steps for excellent classroom practice. We will ensure every NQT in Bradford is supported successfully in order to become an effective, great practitioner. Supported in School, By Schools, For Bradford Schools
