NSPA Conference 2021: Suicide prevention in a changing world
Event Information
About this Event
The NSPA annual conference will be held online, bringing together hundreds of individuals and organisations with a professional and personal interest in suicide prevention to share the latest knowledge and information, promote collaboration, encourage engagement with those with lived experience, and raise awareness of issues relating to suicide.
This year’s conference will include plenary talks on subjects including: the national strategy and the impact of Covid-19; lessons learned from waves 1-3 of the NHS England suicide prevention funding; progress on national real-time suicide surveillance; and reducing online harms nationally and locally.
Workshops include: how successfully suicide prevention work moved online during the pandemic, a study into the drivers of self-harm, approaches to including diverse lived experience voices, the link between domestic abuse and suicide, and the essential elements of a practical suicide bereavement service.

The NSPA exists to play a coordinating role in suicide prevention. We facilitate collaboration between individuals and organisations to realise our vision of fewer people losing their lives to suicide and those affected by suicide receiving the best possible support.
