NSPCC Tech for Good Hack Weekend
Event Information
Description
Campus North is pleased to welcome NSPCC and Virgin Money Giving (the not-for-profit fundraising website from Virgin Money) as we join forces to experiment and hack on new and exciting ways to encourage charitable giving using technology.
We’ll be taking over Campus North on the weekend of Saturday 14th November for a special hack event and we’d love for you to join us. We’ll be welcoming technical evangelists from Virgin Money Giving, NSPCC, and other specially invited partners to provide great tech for you to work with over the course of one day (and a little bit extra).
Hack weekends are for everyone - not just for coders. Anyone who loves solving problems and coming up with new and innovative ideas is welcome to come along and get involved. So if you're a designer, project manager, marketeer or a creative thinker who just wants to be a part of something great, then we'd love to see you at the event. Teams often form around interesting ideas so it's important that there's a wide range of skills and backgrounds involved, or if you're interested in just working on your own idea then that's fine too!
To top it off, we’ll also be providing tasty food and beverages throughout the day to keep you going as you hack on your ideas - there'll be soft drinks and beer, pizzas and healthy options!
Come Sunday, we’ll be hosting the presentation of what gets created in the newly opened Campus North event space and dishing out some pretty kick ass prizes including drones, Apple TVs, VR Headsets and more to the creators of the projects we like the most.
If you’d like to join us to help create something new and exciting that weekend, or just to come down and experiment or learn something new - hold the date! We’ll be kicking off at 10am on Saturday 14th November.
(This event is, sadly, over 18s only. We encourage an inclusive and hassle free environment at all our events. Don't know what that is, check out the Hack Code of Conduct because we'll be using it for this!)
