Description

As part of the Governments commitment to supporting clean, secure and affordable energy, BEIS recently announced the first phase of their nuclear R&D programme with funding in excess of £20m.

Five technology themes have been prioritised within the nuclear innovation and R&D programme which will target improving the prospects for the economic deployment of nuclear power technologies in the UK, skills development, business growth and export opportunities.

These are:

  • Advanced Manufacturing and Materials
  • Advanced fuels
  • Reactor design
  • Recycle and waste management
  • Nuclear Facilities and Strategic Toolkit

This event will provide information on the technical scope of the programmes, how to apply for funding for each of the themes, the associated timescales and budgets.
