The NUJ's Ethics Council invites you to a webinar on 24 September from 5.30-6.30pm exploring important matters for journalists when reporting on transgender people.
The NUJ Code of Conduct outlines key principles for journalists including producing "no material likely to lead to hatred or discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, gender, race, colour, creed, legal status, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation."
Journalists play a crucial role in ensuring the public is informed on wide-ranging matters and trusted journalism has never been more important.
The session chaired by Professor Chris Frost, chair of the NUJ Ethics council, will explore how journalists can ensure their reporting is accurate, fair and ethical.
