Event description
Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is re-opening with new safety measures and exciting exhibitions. We cannot wait to welcome our visitors back!

About this Event

From August 5th the Museum will be back open welcoming visitors. Following an online survey and guidance published by the National Museums Directors Conference there’ll be a number of changes.

What we’re doing to keep you safe:

Firstly you will need to book tickets in advance to visit the museum. Tickets will be free and hourly slots will be available at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. For the time being the museum will be closed on Thursdays and Sundays. Numbers of tickets will be restricted to reduce queuing time and allow social distancing within the building. There is information below about how to book tickets. Please note there will be no access without booked tickets!

In line with current government guidance please wear a face covering whilst visiting us.

Upon entry you will find there is a new one-way system around the museum which is clearly marked.

Team members will be on hand to provide advice and answer any questions you may have.

Hand Sanitiser is provided at the entrance/exit for you and our front of house team will clean high touch areas in the museum hourly. We are also posting another team-member permanently outside the toilets, to direct our visitors and carry out frequent cleaning.

For the time being there will be no access to tearoom facilities from within the museum. However you will be able to access the tearoom by its external entrance for takeaway only.

New displays and exhibitions.

Three brand new temporary exhibitions are here to explore, including our first ever dedicated sculpture exhibition on display in our Yellow Gallery. A photographic display in our White Gallery reveals the devastation of the Nuneaton Blitz during WW2, and our Landing Gallery exhibition gives you the opportunity to find out all about the history of tea in the UK!
