In this lecture David Foster will reflect on his career as a nurse, midwife and most recently a civil servant. He will give insights into his career choices and career destination. This will include particular scrutiny of his time at the Department of Health in a national role as a government advisor working with a range of Ministers, policy teams and stakeholders. He will also explore how nursing and midwifery policy is made at the centre of Whitehall.
