About This Event
Manchester Metropolitan University is an industry-sector leader for apprenticeships, working with more than 400 employers, delivering programmes to more than 2,000 participants.
Join us on a webinar to find out more about the launch of our two nursing apprenticeships, based in our Faculty of Health, Psychology and Social Care in the state-of-the-art Brooks building, Manchester. Cohorts for both programmes will start in September 2021.
Developed with employers, the programmes have been designed to meet the contemporary health and wellbeing needs of individuals, communities and populations. The programmes will be delivered over 12 months, plus up to three months for the end point assessment.
Specialist Community Public Health Nurse PgDip Apprenticeship (SCPHN)
The SCPHN apprenticeship is an innovative blend of higher education and work-based learning, aimed at developing employees into competent and confident specialist public health practitioners.
The programme is suitable for nurses and midwives that are looking to further their knowledge and career, and develop into school nurses and health visitors.
District Nurse PgDip Apprenticeship
This programme prepares apprentices for the changing face of community nursing. Apprentices will strengthen their leadership attributes; become skilful specialist practitioners; and learn how to lead and bring about change in their practice environments.
The programme is designed to provide apprentices with the required knowledge, skills and behaviours to work as a Specialist District Nurse. It enables apprentices to obtain registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a District Nurse.
More information on the programmes and details on how to join the webinar will be sent via email nearer the time. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of our team by emailing apprenticeships@mmu.ac.uk.
