Event description
Nurture, Family Friendly Networking 2020 (Little Green Frog Play Cafe, Lichfield)

About this Event

Nurture Network events offer family friendly networking, which aims to Connect, Support & Develop parents and carers with young children.

It's an award winning nominated networking event, which welcomes not only mums and dads – but their children too! Our purpose is to make our lives as parents and carers as fun, fulfilling and rewarding as possible whilst maximizing the working potential around family life.

Our bi-monthly event is held on a Friday between 4.30-6pm, with exclusive access for guests who join us to use the soft-play area suitable for children under 5 years and under.

Our Nurture Network events always include a guest speaker, charity partnership and open networking. It's the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people and feel part of the growing community!

The event format is as follows; Greet - Inspirational Speaker/Charity Focus - Open Networking - see details for each bi-monthly event below;

Friday 28th February

Guest Speaker: Clara Wilcox Career, Cosch at The Balance Collective will be joining us to talk about why you shouldn't pin your purpose on your job.

This title may have stopped you in your tracks. A Career Coach telling you that everything isn’t about your career? That your purpose isn’t just found in your job! What is all that about?

If you have spent any time on personal development, the Holy Grail is to find a career that gives you purpose. To find and follow your passion and then discover a way to make money. You may even aspire to this inspirational quote, “Find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” by Harvey Mackay; if you don’t feel you love what you do, you may assume you need to change your career.

Career Coach Clara Wilcox will be sharing her top ways to find purpose in your career and business; the answers may surprise you!

Jodie Eveleigh support specialist in the Midlands from The Brains Trust will also be joining us share how we as a community can support the incredible work they do.

The Facts:

There are around 68,000 people living with a brain tumour

30 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour a day

It is the biggest cancer killer of children and under 35’s

There are over 120 types of brain tumours

The cause is unknown but incidence is increasing.

Friday 24th April 4.30PM

Guest Speaker: Anna Farmer from Travel Councillor will be joining our Nurture Networking private facebook group to share details on 'Travelling with Children, what you need to know’. Love travelling but wonder if those carefree days are behind you now you have a family? Join us & Anna where she will cover important details you need to think about when travelling with children. I’ve been in the industry 18 years and will pass on travel tips I’ve learnt along the way.

Reuben's Retreat will be our choosen charity this month, it supports families bereaved of a child and families of children with a life limiting and life threatening illness.

Jodie Eveleigh support specialist in the Midlands from The Brains Trust will also be joining us share how we as a community can support the incredible work they do.
