Frequently asked questions

What is included in the cost?

Four in person professional development sessions. In school/setting mentor support from tutor. All materials needed including a copy of the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale [ECERS-3].

What is the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale [ECERS]?

The ECERS is a tool used to assess the quality of early years settings. It helps us to reflect on and refine provision and practice to support children's development.

Do I have to attend all 4 sessions?

Yes! The course uses evidence-based professional development. Each bite-size session builds on the last, with gaps between sessions to help you try out the approach with children in your setting.

Why does it suggest that two people from each setting attend?

We know it’s hard to turn course learning into real impact. Evidence shows involving more team members boosts outcomes for children. This course includes materials to share with your team after each session too.

What if I book a place but then my circumstances change and I can no longer attend?

We understand that circumstances can change and you will automatically be refunded if you cancel your place via Eventbrite at least 14 days before the start of the course.
