Event description

Description

It's quite common these days to hear stories about Muslims becoming disillusioned with, or even leaving their faith. The corrosive effect of Islamophobic propaganda, materialism, and wider society's increasing apathy towards religion and spirituality, is well documented. However, it is much rarer to hear potential solutions and how we as a community can develop and grow spiritually despite these problems.

Join our speakers Dr Akram Nadwi and Hamza Tzortzis, as they reflect on the challenge which face us and explore ways to build a Godly community of believers that thrives in spite of all the forces working to undermine it. Our host on the night will be charismatic Faraz Yousufzai, who will discuss how YOU can support the work that Cambridge Islamic College is doing to tackle the issues discussed on the night.

A delicious 3-course meal will be provided on the day.

The speakers

Shaykh Dr Mohammad Akram Nadwi, world renowned Islamic scholar, dean and founder of Cambridge Islamic College. http://www.cambridgeislamiccollege.org/about/college-dean/

Hamza Andreas Tzortzis, public speaker and author of The Divine Reality: God, Islam & The Mirage of Atheism. https://www.hamzatzortzis.com/about-me/
