About this event

  • 1 hour

Having an organised and structured approach to tackling mathematical challenges is highly valued among mathematicians. How can we encourage secondary students to work in this way?

In this webinar, Charlie and Liz will share a variety of contexts which require students to work systematically, and will offer suggestions on how teachers can help students appreciate the value of working in this way.

Event information

The webinar should last for approxmiately 50 minutes, and the zoom room will open half an hour before the start time.

This event will be hosted on Zoom and a link will be shared with all those who register the day before the event. Please look out in your emails.

During the event

During the event, we will share some of our thinking and invite you to have a go at some maths activities. It would therefore be useful for you to have pencil and paper available. There will be opportunities to share your thoughts with the NRICH team using the Zoom chat facility.

How to get involved

This event is free, but pre-booking is essential. To book your place please register online. Please note: if several teachers from the same school would like to take part, you will each need to register individually.

Thank you to Trinity College, University of Cambridge, for their generous support for this event.
