Wellness Morning: Nutrition Workshop and Why We Eat
Tuesday 14th October 2025
10:30am – 12:30pm
Violet Melchett
Food plays a central role in our health and wellbeing - but do we ever stop to ask why we eat the way we do? This special nutrition event will be an open and interactive morning of learning, reflection, and discussion.
Together we will explore:
- Why do we eat?
- What does health mean to us?
- The connection between food and wellbeing
- How culture, lifestyle, and environment shape what we eat
- Can food really be considered “medicine”?
During the session, you’ll complete a short food diary based on the previous day, helping us reflect on daily habits. We’ll unpack the components of a nutritious diet, discuss what “health” and “medicine” really mean, and look at a case study from another country for inspiration.
This event is all about exploration and sharing - we’ll listen to each other’s experiences, reflect on personal stories, and gain new perspectives on how food shapes our bodies and our lives.
Whether you’re curious about nutrition, hoping to make small changes, or just want to reflect on your own relationship with food, this morning is for you.
