Designing great user on-boarding experiences
with Richard Powell
User on-boarding is the difference between an experience that encourages your users to come back for more ... or one that means you will never see them again. Richard will cover:
- The important concepts you need to understand about user on-boarding
- How to design successful on-boarding experiences
- How to avoid damaging your on-boarding experience accidentally.
He'll also share his user on-boarding successes, failures, and lessons he's learnt based on 2 years worth of experimenting and testing at Server Density.
Richard Powell is a developer & designer at Server Density where he obsesses over good design, good UX and good code. He's previously worked as a front-end dev and UXer at local agencies before making the move in-house to take on the challenge of working with complex data. He's given numerous presentations on data visualisation, defensive programming, front-end performance, and written articles on web design and given workshops on UI development.
