This is an Nonviolent Communication practice group and will run for 4 sessions on Monday 23rd January 2017, Monday 30th January, Monday 6th February and Monday 13th February In the Practice Group
There will be a lot of practice at:
- learning to more fully connect to and express Feelings and Needs,
- and on making specific, doable Requests to self and others
- Empathy (Reflective listening and making ‘empathy guesses’)
- Posthearsals / ‘Cleaning up messes’/ the ‘dustpan and brush’ approach for situations that didn’t go as planned
We will work with situations that are going on in your life. I will encourage mindful practice including some short guided meditations (as these really help to more fully connect to Feelings and Needs). There will be a lot of pairwork for more processing time and practice at reflective listening
7 - 9.30pm Who is it for? This group is open to anyone who has participated in a Foundation training or an NVC camp or has had individual sessions with a trainer. Make sure you have read or are familiar with the ideas in the book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nonviolent-Communication-Language-Marshall-Rosenberg/dp/1892005034 Contact me if you are unsure about this being a useful place for you to be and learn in at the moment. I ask you to commit to all four sessions as it is a closed group practice group, obviously people get ill and stuff happens so don't worry about that if it does happen. I'm asking for an openhearted intention to be there for all 4 sessions.
Doors open 6.30pm if you need to arrive after work to eat a sandwich or something.
How many people? There will be a maximum of 10 participants.
Cost I will operate a sliding scale of £5-20 per session will help cover my sustainability and costs, such as refreshments or any materials we may need and contribute to my sustainability. Please sign up for a 'Free' ticket now and we'll do payment in the sessions.
After the group finishes
Participants can move onto other programs I and other trainers offer for further learning and development.
Please get in touch if you are not sure if this is the right group for you.
