NVI: Cityverve - A new approach to smart cities
Tue 15 November 2016, 12:00 – 13:30 GMT
CityVerve brings together the brightest minds and pioneering use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to redefine ‘smart’ in the context of a living, working city. It aims to build and deliver a smarter, more connected Manchester. It means creating a city that uses technology to meet the complex needs of its people.
On Tuesday the 15th November, we will be joined by Nick Chrissos, Head of Innovation Technology for CISCO, who will be discussing an overview of CityVerve, why the project was created, where the project currently stands and aspirations for the future. In this session, we will be joined by other NVI node users via a live web conference, so this is a great opportunity to connect with other start up businesses and engage with the CityVerve discussion.
This is the first installment of four NVI events centred around CityVerve. We hope you can join us for this interesting session and debate. This event will be taking place at Faraday Wharf - Innovation Birmingham Campus Meeting Room Three.
This event is part of the National Virtual Incubator (NVI) - a pioneering new network supported by the UK government to support startups by connecting incubation centres, research facilities, science parks and academic institutes through its growing number of national bases.
