NVI: Introduction to Digital Business Skills

So whether you dream of being your own boss or want to get hired by a digital business, we’ve joined forces with leading names in the industry to give you the opportunities you need.
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, on Wednesday 16th November Innovation Birmingham Campus is teaming up with DBA to bring a unique, half-day taster workshop, giving you an insight into the skills and understanding needed to start, run or join a digital business.
This workshop is open to anyone aged 16 or over, from any educational or business background and of all levels of digital abilities.
Business start-up ‘Size up your Idea' – Dom Murphy, MD, Geek Talent discover of how to get started and gain key skills in the world of digital business.
Develop and Manage a Digital Product - Calum McGowan, Robert Trickey of Auto Trader UK. Discover how digital products - things like website, mobile applications, and video games - are imagined, designed, and built.
Marketing, social media and brand awareness - Amy Jackson, Co-founder, Unwritten Creative. Discover the secrets to building successful strategic marketing plans that reach new customers, retain clients and amplify your business.
Mastering finance – Mark Gardner, Mentoring Manager, Transmit Start-ups. A short breakdown of the basics of financial planning, cash flow forecasts and preparing your business for investment.
