This event will be ideal for those intending to gain an insight into the ISO 14001:2015 standard. The event will provide an overview of what an EMS is and how ISO 14001:2015 can be used to effectively drive business improvements through deep diving into specific clauses of ISO 14001:2015, namely Leadership, Management Review, Context, Interested Parties, Risk & Opportunities and Objectives and Targets. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A with the panel of speakers.

Carmel Campbell - Director, Be Sustainable Ltd
Bio
Carmel is the Director of Be Sustainable Limited and has 23 years of experience in Corporate Sustainability and Environment working in both in-house and client-facing roles. She has a proven track record in delivering high-quality, practical solutions to multi-site, national and international clients. Particular areas of expertise include: Sustainability Strategy development and roll out including materiality analysis; ESG reporting and verification; GHG Reporting and verification (inc. PAS2060); IMS development and internal auditing. Carmel is a Lead Auditor for EMS and QMS and a Lead ESG verifier. She is also an approved ISEP environmental and sustainability course tutor as well as an IRCA tutor for quality and environmental Lead auditor courses. In addition to being an ISO consultant, trainer, and auditor she is a Lead Certification Assessor for ISO14001
Presentation Focus:
Carmel will provide an overview of the ISO14001 standard and an insight into the planned changes to the standard currently being reviewed.
Andrew Scully - Principle Environment, Energy and Sustainability Manager, Serco
Bio
Andrew has over 15 years experience of working in Environmental and Sustainability roles across a range of sectors. During this time, Andrew has helped support sites across both UK and Europe in obtaining, managing and maintaining a number of environmental and sustainability certifications, including to the ISO 14001 standard. Andrew has practical experience of ISO 14001 and its implementation and requirements.
Presentation Focus:
Andrew will cover the following clauses and key requirements of; actions to address risks and opportunities and environmental objectives and planning within the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
Mathew Chard - Sustainability Manager, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
Bio
Mathew holds an MSc in Environmental Management and has over ten years experience of working in sustainability and environmental management including implementation of EMS to the ISO 14001 standard in a number of different sectors.
Presentation Focus:
Mathew will cover the specific clauses within ISO 14001:2015, namely Leadership and Management Review using experience gained from implementing an EMS at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and transitioning the EMS into an EMS for Greater Manchester Combined Authority following changes in governance in 2017.
