Our Open Events are your chance to experience what it’s really like to study with us. You’ll explore our fantastic facilities, meet our friendly tutors, and get a real feel for college life. These events are open to everyone—whether you're a school leaver or an adult looking to upskill or retrain, you're warmly invited to see how NWSLC can help you go further.

Our Wigston Campus is a state-of-the-art £43 million facility, home to a wide range of general courses and our specialist Spa Centre. It also features a purpose-built engineering department, along with excellent resources including a gym, library, construction workshop, and on-site nursery.

Conveniently located opposite Tesco in South Wigston, the campus is just a 10-minute walk from South Wigston Train Station. We offer free on-site parking, and the campus is easily accessible by public buses. For added convenience, we also run dedicated college bus services from Market Harborough and Husbands Bosworth.

Event Check-In and What to Expect

Doors open at 16:00pm, when check-in will begin. To help us sign you in quickly, please bring along your Eventbrite ticket—either printed or on your phone.

Due to high demand, we’ve introduced time slots to ensure you have the best possible experience and get all the information you need to make confident decisions about your future studies.

Once you’ve checked in at reception, you’ll receive a prospectus to guide your visit. From there, you can explore our facilities, meet our staff, chat with the admissions team, and get a real feel for life at NWSLC.

How do I register for an Open Event?

Simply click the ‘Get Tickets’ button and follow the instructions. Due to high demand, you’ll be asked to select a time slot when booking—please make sure to choose one and arrive at your allocated time to help us manage the event smoothly.

Do I need to book a place?

Yes, places are limited for each Open Event, so we ask all prospective students to pre-register and book a ticket in advance to secure their spot.

Do I need to book a place for my parent(s) or guardian(s)? 

No, parents or guardians can easily be added to your ticket as a guest and are encouraged to join you during your visit for support.

Do I need to bring written confirmation of my booking with me?

Yes, you’ll receive an email confirmation with your ticket, which includes a barcode. Please have this barcode ready at the check-in desk—either printed or displayed on your smartphone or device.

What time do I need to arrive?

Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes before your booked session.
