Explore NWT Thorpe Marshes, part of the Norfolk Broads, yet on the edge of Norwich in Thorpe St Andrew. It's a charming mix of grazed and ungrazed marshes, ditches and the open water of St Andrew's Broad. Join local naturalist, Chris Durdin, for a meander and discover the reserve’s wildlife. Bring binoculars and a camera if you have them.

Meet at the pedestrian railway bridge at the end of Whitlingham Lane, NR7 0QA, which is accessed from the A1242 Yarmouth Road (not from Trowse) and is diagonally opposite Thunder Lane. Please also note that there is no parking on Whitlingham Lane.

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is the oldest Wildlife Trust in the country. The purchase of 400 acres of marsh at Cley on the north Norfolk coast in 1926 to be held ‘in perpetuity as a bird breeding sanctuary’ provided a blueprint for nature conservation which has now been replicated across the UK. Our vision for Norfolk: where the future of wildlife is protected and enhanced through sympathetic management and people are connected with and inspired by Norfolk’s wildlife and wild spaces.
