Event description

Description

Join us at the climax of the National Youth Jazz Collective's Summer School 2018: the final performance in this wonderful venue near York. NYJC's Summer School gathers the finest 14-18 year old jazz players from around England and gives them an unrivalled experience to learn and play together.

This is an opportunity to witness 2018's students' musical development following an intensive week with our team of tutors.

Tickets are free - but if you are able to pay for one of them with a donation to our ongiong work it would be a tremendous boost!

If you're coming to drop off your child for the Short Course this concert is a wonderful opportunity to be inspired by what their peers can achieve musically and to hear the standard to aspire to for next year's Summer School!

FAQs

It seems very long - is there a break?

Actually no... but there will be a 3 minute gap between each band while the next sets up... so that's the time to take your kids to the toilets. But please don't try to clear off before the end if your child has been playing in the concert, we can't legally do a hand over from our care to yours until after the event.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No - it's a family affair...

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is available in the school car park, we don't really know about public transport, sorry...

What can I bring into the event?

The event will run without a break - so you can bring in drinks and maybe a smuggled sandwich for the younger kids in the family but please keep us tidy!

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
