O-Generator Training Day
Thu 6 April 2017, 10:00 – 15:30 BST
Essex Music Hub are offering two days of IT training during the Easter break, to introduce our tutors to the music technology packages that we currently offer to schools.
A number of schools have contacted us requesting for specialist music technology support, and for tutors to offer an after-school music technology club; before we can engage with schools in this manner, we need to ensure that the tutors delivering this work are able to use the packages effectively and with understanding.
For each package, tutors will be taken through basic familiarisation of the software, and then will be exploring how to deliver a range of activities and make the best use of the software with young people.
Thursday 6th April: O-Generator 10am - 12pm / 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Level of difficulty: Beginner – no experienced required
We offer O-Generator to KS2 students; we currently deliver this software package to over 100 schools in Essex and are continuing to grow this number. Although there is CPD offered to classroom teachers as means of introducing them, and many find it very easy to use in the classroom, we have had a number of requests to offer a Music Technology club after school for the young people. This is a need that is growing and so we would like a group of tutors who can offer this, but also would suggest that most tutors could increase their hours within a school by also engaging in this delivery.
More info about O-Generator can be found here: http://www.essexmusichub.org.uk/site/digital-learning/o-generator/
We are offering two sessions - 10am - 12pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm.
Tutors will be paid £40 for their attendance.
