An afternoon singing workshop and evening concert with highly acclaimed a cappella vocal quartet, Oaken (combined tickets available)
About this event
Oaken is a quartet made up of 4 well-known choir conductors: Emily Barden, Anna Tabbush, Camilo Menjura & Dominic Stichbury. Through workshops & performances they want to bring more harmony singing into your lives!
With roots in folk music, branching out into pop and original songs these experienced choral directors and composers began delivering online singing workshops together during the pandemic. Since then they have developed an exciting repertoire of contemporary and traditional songs plus some of their own compositions. Their innate musicality and friendship bring warmth and joy to their audiences.
Oaken will co-lead a fun & inclusive community singing workshop, with each member leading a voice part. Music will be taught by ear in luscious 4-part harmony. No previous musical or singing experience necessary.
In the evening you can hear Oaken perform their unique repertoire in the beautiful acoustics of St Andrew's Church, Surbiton.
(Tickets are available for the workshop only, concert only and a combined ticket for both.)
