Celebrated Italian Chef Alessandro Borghese joins Obicà as Creative Chef
One of Italy’s most-loved chefs, Alessandro Borghese, has joined Obicà as Creative Chef to develop a new menu
centred on his and the group’s mutual passion for authentic Italian cuisine designed to share amongst friends.
Alessandro who is a familiar face on Italian television and has one of the highest social media followings of any
chef in Italy.
Designed to celebrate the eight unique varieties of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP and made with the finest
ingredients from renowned Italian producers, the new menu will feature dishes such as:
Croche'e di Patate e Cime di Rapa –potato croqueQe with turnip tops and smoked mozzarella
Baccala’Mantecato -whipped salt cod with corn chips and smoked mozzarella
Capasanta di Mozzarella – Mozzarella di Bufala, Causcolo and endive
Zucchine – Fried courgeQe, Mozzarella di Bufala, Pine Nuts and baby leQuce
At the heart of Alessandro’s partnership with Obicà is a spirit of conviviality that celebrates and extends beyond the
innovative new sharing menu. Later this year, Alessandro will embark on a world tour to host Live Aperivo at a
handful of Obicà’s most iconic locations, from LA’s Sunset Plaza to London’s South Kensington and Florence’s Palazza Tornabuoni.
These special events for Obicà’s most-valued customers will showcase Alessandro’s new ‘food to share’
menu, set to the backdrop of special live musical performances, and will be live streamed via Obicà’s Facebook page for fans to enjoy from the comfort of their own home.
Alessandro’s menu will be available at Obicà’s 25 restaurants in the UK, US, Italy and Japan.
