Event Details

We are pleased to announce details of our next OBN BioTuesday event that we are running in collaboration with Penningtons Manches at Oxford Business Park on 4 July.

Our theme for discussions will be:

‘Devising an efficient roadmap for early stage & start-up companies to maximise value and the chance of success'

This is a broad reaching and extremely useful topic of discussion that is designed to guide and support start-up and early stage companies.  We will be joined by several thought-leaders on the night who will share their insight into why a robust and well thought out roadmap is essential in realising your vision.

Speakers will focus on the following areas, sharing knowledge, insight and some interesting case studies along the way:

Intellectual Property - How it is important to protect your knowledge and have a measured and integrated IP strategy in place as early as possible, including the pros and cons of patents vs trade secrets.

Business Planning – What are the key first steps when establishing a business, is your business unique and are you addressing unmet needs in the market place? We will look at the importance of developing a robust business plan in order to support growth, attract investment, and where to look for help when you most need it

Team and Board – We will discuss why appointing a strong board, both exec and non-exec is critical to attracting interest from analysts and securing funding from investors

Partnerships and networking – We will look at how to best launch your company out of an incubator; how can you minimise risk at this early stage and the importance of networking and collaborating”
