With the roll out of a campus-wide peer observation of teaching scheme, it is important whether observing or being observed that colleagues are able to gain the maximum benefit from the process in order to support their professional development as a university teacher.
To help prepare colleagues for engagement with the peer observation process, colleagues from the Department of Higher Education (who have undertaken several hundred formal teaching observations across the disciplines) will share their experiences of the process and discuss ways in which participants may maximise the benefits of engagement.
This process may be seen as a component of the SET framework.
