Suitable for both specialist and non-specialist classroom teachers, and Associates, working with KS 1 & 2.
This workshop demonstrates step by step how you can teach every child in your school to play the ocarina
In this session, find out about:
- How to play the Ocarina, starting with no prior knowledge needed
- How to teacher the Ocarina, even if you are a non-music specialist teaching in your school
- What offers are available from Wiltshire Music Connect to get affordable and sustainable First Access/Whole Class Instrumental Teacher programmes happening in your school
- How you could expand your offer if you are an Associate to include Ocarinas
The session will be delivered by Jenny Knight, cluster coordinator for the Bradford on Avon and Corsham cluster, music coordinator for Christ Church School as well as one of the Ocarina trainers from Wiltshire Music Connect. Jenny has a unique story of learning to play the Ocarina at school, which then was her spring board into playing music, and making it her career.
